Make It With Wool Washington State Contest

Make It With Wool encourages personal creativity in sewing, knitting, crocheting, spinning, weaving, and other needlework arts.  It is organized and run by an all volunteer group of District, State and National Directors and is funded by patrons encouraging wool art.

The Make It With Wool Contest has been promoting the versatility, beauty and wearability of wool since 1947!  Contestants of all ages, from pre-teens through adults, sew, knit, crochet, weave or felt wool garments, which are judged on quality and presentation.  There are 3 NEW! categories for our state competition:  wool accessory, wool home dec, and costumes or cosplay.

In Washington, the State contest is held in Tacoma, in the month of October.  Categories to compete in include Pre-teen, Junior (13-16 yr), Senior (17-24 yr), Adult, and Made for Others.  The State Junior and Senior winners attend and compete at the national competition.  The state Adult winner submits his/her garments and a video for national judging.
